I agree with General Mattis and I think it’s interesting that you follow your “Theft of A Pen” post with this one, because it seems that throughout your school life, your teachers were indeed just like the Khmer Rouge and strove to “extinguish free thought, and the spark of questioning and dissent.” I, for one, am glad they did not succeed.
I would not condemn all for the faults of a few. I have known great teachers!
Nor would I. I, too, have know many great teachers. I only reference what you have written in the past as your personal experience.
The thing is, Tex, is I never actually knew any of them while I was in school.
My point exactly. You are who you are in spite (or maybe because) of the ones you did know.
Who's to say? Those I have known are from me gone.
